-HURRICANE KATRINA- AUGUST 2005-

"we are luckier than others, and we are all alive"

Vancleave MS
aprox 6 miles north of I-10 and the city of Ocean Springs
about 15 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico.

When we pulled into the drive way this is what we saw.
Our nieghbors came and covered the leaks in our roof, and broken glass
They saved us from further rain damage while we were trying to return home from TN
There's no boards, no siding, just foam insulation there, and it looks like mold is taking hold. In the back yard we found our dog fence and house demolished by fallen trees, amoungst the debris was our chimney that had been ripped off leaving one of the many holes in the roof.
The trampoline had to have flown over the 2 story house from the back yard, this site upset the children. As you can see you travel with gas cans on top of your car, if you are lucky enough to still have a car. This tree tried it's best to get in the family room, instead it plowed into this plywood knocking a hole in it, which broke out the window behind it. When we got home we found my neighbor had already cleaned up the broken glass so my kids didn't get hurt. On a business note, last year we lost our office from Hurricane Ivan. Since Florida had 3 storms last year we suspended all billing to our clients who were hit for several months.
Katrina absolutely whipped out about 70% of our customers businesses. However our servers and the servers we maintain in New Orleans for other clients, NEVER WENT DOWN, thru the entire experience. When we say proudly serving the gulf coast for 10 years we mean it ! We hope to be able to keep serving.
